Our Wedding

Ya know I never truly believed in love at fist sight and honestly that’s not our story. But what was our story was laughter and connection at first swipe. After each swiping right, Aniely messaged me first with the cutest Hollis! by way of hello. I then responded with a classic, though somewhat generic, how’s it going?   When she then responded in Spanish, I switched to Spanish, excited by the chance to improve my Spanish which I had been working on with friends from my job at the time. After some haphazard conversation with some very nice help from my friend Mr. Google Translate, we decided to go on a date.  So after work on a Tuesday afternoon, I drove after work all the way to Buena Park (for the out of towners this is at least a hour and a half drive in LA traffic so it was a trek!!). Once I got there, we decided to head to the Starbucks in the closest Target. I very quickly realized that my Spanish was in need of some serious work. But we walked around target we talked in my broken but wholehearted Spanish. But mostly, we laughed, laughed about every small thing and giggled whenever I said something wrong.  And with every day that passed, I fell further in love. Her sweet soul captivated me. Her smile gave me butterflies and still does. Even when we didn’t know the words for what we wanted to say we still found away to communicate, to laugh, and to take care of each other. For me, from that very first date I knew there weren’t even words needed to know we had a connection that was not going anywhere. These past two years by her side have been the best of my life. I can’t wait to meet her at the altar and for every moment of our future together.

Juniper’s Side of the Story 

Sabes que nunca creí realmente en el amor a primera vista y honestamente esa no es nuestra historia. Pero desde el primero momento estaba sobre conexión, risas, y diversión. ¡Después de los match, Aniely me envió un mensaje primero con el ~Hollis más lindo! Luego respondí con un clásico, aunque algo genérico, ¿how’s it going? Cuando ella respondió en español, empece a responder en español, emocionado por la oportunidad de mejorar mi español en el que había estado trabajando con amigos de mi trabajo en ese momento. Después de una conversación aleatoria (con una ayuda muy agradable de mi amigo, el Sr. Google Translate) decidimos tener una cita. Así que después del trabajo un martes por la tarde, conduje después del trabajo hasta Buena Park (para los de fuera de la ciudad, esto es al menos una hora y media en coche en el tráfico de Los Ángeles, ¡así que fue una caminata!). Una vez que llegué allí, decidimos ir al Starbucks en el Target más cercano. Rápidamente me di cuenta de que mi español necesitaba un trabajo serio. Pero caminamos alrededor del objetivo, hablamos en mi español roto pero sincero. Pero sobre todo, nos reíamos, nos reíamos de cada pequeña cosa y nos reíamos cada vez que decía algo mal. Y con cada día que pasaba, me enamoraba más. Su dulce alma me cautivó. Su sonrisa me dio mariposas y todavía lo hace. Incluso cuando no sabíamos las palabras de lo que queríamos decir, todavía encontramos la manera de comunicarnos, reírnos y cuidarnos unos a otros. Para mí, desde esa primera cita supe que ni siquiera se necesitaban palabras para saber que teníamos una conexión que no iba a ninguna parte. Estos últimos dos años a su lado han sido los mejores de mi vida. No puedo esperar a conocerla en el altar y por cada momento de nuestro futuro juntos.

La Historia de Juniper 

Holiiis. Ese fue el primer mensaje que te mande, sin pensar que ese sería el comienzo de algo maravilloso e increíble. Nuestra conexion fue inmediata por asi decir algo mágico, es como si te conociera de toda la vida, seguramente nuestras almas ya estaban destinadas a estar juntas. Cuando made el mensaje honestamente pense que no responderia, cuando vi su respuesta (¿hows it going?) minutos despues inexplicablemente me emocione y respondi, ¿como estas? afirmado que hablo español en eso me dice que elle esta practicando su espanol y respondi que podia practicar conmigo y asi fue…Días despues tuvimos nuestra primera cita, no teniamos algo planeado y decmos ir por cafe a starbucks, cuando llegamos yo muy emocionada empece a hablar muy rapido en español y june muy confundida me dice: hold on! puedes hablar conmigo como si tuviera 6 anos? , es que estas hablando muy rapido. nos reimos y entonces empecé de nuevo pero esta vez despacio como elle lo pidio. Hablamos de demasiadas cosas muy divertidas y que eran de nuestro interes en común, desde esa primera cita no hemos dejado de mandarnos mensajes hasta el día de hoy. como dos días despues decidimos tener otra cita yo pregunté si quería ir a una view que conocía, estaba un poco lejos pero fuimos. cuando llegamos nos sentamos y empezamos a platicar pero momento despues me preguntaste muy nerviosa ¿puedo darte un beso? En ese momento me congelé estaba en shock y mis manos sudando, así que tome fuerzas para hacer que mis palabras salieran y obviamente dije que sí. En ese momento sentí de todo: fuegos artificiales, mariposas, galaxias explotando etc. mientras en mi mente sonaba la canción de Forever my love de Ed cheeran. Puede sonar un poco loco,pero desde nuestra primera cita supe que estaré con elle por el resto de mi vida. Estos años juntes han sido los mejores de mi vida y eh aprendido mucho de elle , ya ansío que llegue el día y verte frente al altar en tu hermoso vestido y con esa linda sonrisa y esos ojitos que me atrapan cada día.

For Those Who need to Spend the Night Nearby

While we have not blocked off any hotel rooms, we have listed some here for your reference and convenience. There are a couple of options near the beach but if you don't mind a small commute Thousand Oaks or Agoura Hills are the closest towns with rooms that run a bit cheeper than those right on the beach.

There are no rooms blocked off but this will be very close to the beach where we will be :)
