After reconnecting in 2022, Justin and Mikaela like to think back to the first time they met in 2007, the start of Grade 2 at St.Johns Catholic Elementary school. They grew up through elementary and high school together, occasionally keeping in touch throughout post-secondary, until their paths crossed again in the summer of 2022. After that first date, playing Mario Kart and watching movies, they were pretty much inseparable from that point on, as they both instantly felt that their connection was meant to be. 10 months later, they knew that there was no one else they'd want to spend their life with, and they got engaged in June 2023, set to be married in the summer of 2025. They found out a special little surprise in May of 2024, a little baby girl would be joining their family come January 2025! Through all of the changes, challenges, and joys that have come their way, they've leaned on each other and been eachothers biggest support. The biggest lesson they have learned is that sometimes the greatest thing you're looking for is right in front of you. Their love story has been in the works since 2007, and now that they have finally come together, they can't wait to celebrate their long-awaited love with all of their family and friends!
