It all began with a simple swipe on the dating app Bumble on New Year’s Eve of 2021. Maddie hit Justin with a winning opening line of " I ought to complain to Spotify for you not being named the hottest single of the week". The rest is history.

Their first date was on January 6, 2022, at a tasty Mexican restaurant called Avo in Ohio City where they spent 3+ hours talking.

Justin & Maddie instantly felt a connection and continued to spend time together doing all the things they love: traveling, going to concerts, trying new foods, spending time with their dogs, and laughing at each other's jokes.

In February 2024, Justin surprised Maddie with a beautiful morning proposal on a beach in Lagos, Portugal.
