Justine and Chris met in October of 2015. After the first night of fun including dinner and a haunted house, they became inseparable, traveling 45 minutes to Reno or Truckee every week. In a matter of weeks, they found themselves taking a road trip to Portland, and the long car rides and endless conversation filled with laughter and singing, set the stage for their future. In 2016 Justine and Chris decided to live together in what they like to call, The Round House, because it was as round as a Muffin, which is where they not only had to huddle around a wood burning fire each Winter night to stay warm, but it’s also where they picked up their cute name for one another that would stick forever like their Love, Muffin! As they grew a life of love and adventure in Truckee, they both had a dream of starting a business together, worked in Property Management to learn the ropes, and was the collaboration that eventually blossomed into the family Short Term Vacation Rental business that Tahoe Alpenglow Properties is today. Tahoe has kept their lives filled with adventure, and love for one another strong, with memories from Go Karts, to Boats, to Hikes, Nature Walks, Skiing, Beach Days, and now their UTV so they can enjoy the National Forest behind the 1st home they purchased together, and Prosser Reservoir only a short 10 minute ride away from their garage for beautiful sun set evenings as a family. Their first child Parker Grey was born on May 18, 2021 which changed their lives forever. Chris proposed to Justine in Eze, France. Eze is a hilltop village situated between Nice and Monaco. With Parker in her arms Justine said YES! Shortly after, Chris and Justine decided one more baby would make their family complete. Stassi Harper was born on October 3rd 2022 and it was at that time their hearts & lives felt as full as can be. Justine & Chris work hard during what the mountain locals like to call the “Busy Season”, and look forward to their week long family vacations in the slower “Shoulder Season” twice a year. Their love for travel that brought them together keeps the flame alive and continues to inspire their children and happy family lifestyle in Truckee, CA.
