In a moment of frustration, I couldn't help but let my emotions get the best of me, and I found myself cursing him out. Little did I know that this bold move would spark a chain of events that would lead us to where we are today.

Rather than being offended or walking away, Delroy surprised me by returning to the store. He approached my aunt and claimed I still needed to finish his hair. Persuasive and determined, he convinced her to give him my number. Weeks passed, and Delroy held onto that number, waiting for the perfect moment to reach out.

Then, fate intervened once again. I crossed paths with Delroy, and this time, something felt different. There was a spark, a connection that I couldn't ignore. Taking matters into my own hands, I decided to give him my number myself, unaware of its significance in the coming years.

But our journey didn't stop there. Years later, as I went through Delroy's wallet, I stumbled upon a small piece of paper. It was the receipt from Lee’s Emporium, on which my aunt had written my number all those years ago. It symbolized the beginning of our love story, a reminder of the twists and turns that led us to where we stand today.

As our love story continued to unfold, we faced life's ups and downs together, cherishing every moment and creating a beautiful family. Over a decade, we enjoyed watching our three exceptional children grow. Khiyan, our eldest, transformed into an astonishing young man, carrying himself with grace and integrity. Keanu, our brilliant and book-smart teenager, had an insatiable thirst for knowledge. And our sassy little diva daughter, Kalani, filled our home with laughter and joy.
