The story begins in March 2023… we swiped right. We met on a dating app, Hinge. If it weren’t for that dating app, Matt and Justine would have never met. Matt lived north of the city, Shaler and Justine lived south of the city, Bethel Park. You know what they say about Pittsburghers, they don’t cross bridges.

For those unfamiliar with the dating app scene, you create a profile with a few pictures, interests and then you set a radius and the app constructs all prospective matches. You can swipe right (you’re interested) or swipe left (you’re not interested). When two people swipe right on each other, you match and you have an option to begin a chat with each other.

Our first date was at Coughlin’s Law and the rest is history… We’ve done a lot of traveling in the past year. Our first was a weekend getaway in Ohio. Then we’ve been to Austin Texas, Outerbanks, Baton Rouge for a LSU football game and to France and England to end our year of travel.

We recently closed on our first home on March 22nd, the day we got engaged! We couldn’t be happier for our next chapter ❤️
