what's good in the hood? a question that started it all.
On thanksgiving 2022, Ashley asked Justo this question which prompted them to engage in a conversation that evening. Ashley asked another important question that night, how's your love life? Justo and Ashley made arrangements to grab drinks the next day on 11/25/2022.


Their story started before that night. Justo and Ashley met more than a decade ago through Ashley's cousin. When Justo discharged from the United States Marine Corps he went to go live with Ashley's fathers cousin Judy and her family. Justo would make his appearance at family gatherings and Ashley took immediate attraction to him. They would engage in small talk here and there but nothing more.


Fast forward to 11/25/2022, what was suppose to just be a casual drink between friends quickly turned into a date as they both realized that was something more between them. Through conversation, they realized that share similar morals, values, and beliefs. Something that that was rare that they didn't find with anyone else. From then on they became inseparable, spending days off together and so forth. Justo and Ashley welcomed their daughter Kaylee on 10/20/2023.


On December 25th 2023, in front of her family, Justo asked Ashley for her hand in marriage.
