Benjamin and K’leigh’s story began in 2020, a slow burn with a spark that never once faded. From the start, something about their connection felt different, like they both knew this could be the real thing. On July 28, 2020, Benjamin decided to make it official, asking K’leigh out with a ring pop. It was sweet, unexpected, and very on brand for him.
Much of the early relationship was spent long distance, but love seemed to thrive in the in-between. K’leigh often visited Benjamin in Akron, getting to spend time with the man she adored, and getting a little taste of the “college experience” while she was at it. Many nights ended in Monopoly games at Benjamin’s apartment, where he somehow managed to do her calculus homework and earn perfect scores… even with four drinks in.
When Benjamin graduated and moved to Columbus, the miles between them stretched farther, but so did their love. Eventually, K’leigh made the leap, moving to Columbus herself, starting a new job, and finishing her MBA. A few months later, Benjamin moved in, and together they began building a home, complete with two cats, Blu and Luna, who promptly took charge. Their life together quickly filled with friends, local adventures, and quality time with Uncle Larry.
On January 27, 2025, Benjamin decided it was time to make forever official. He got down on one knee and asked for K’leigh’s hand in marriage, this time with a diamond ring… and, in a perfect nod to the beginning, another ring pop. She said yes, and the two celebrated with a cruise, dreaming about the life ahead.
And now, as they stand on the edge of this new chapter, Benjamin and K’leigh are filled with gratitude. Their wedding isn’t just about saying “I do,” it’s about honoring the people who raised them, guided them, and loved them through every season of life. It’s about looking around the room and seeing the faces that made them who they are. On this day, surrounded by family and friends, they aren’t just beginning their marriage, they’re weaving all of those shared histories into the start of their forever.
