<p>Kacey and Lucas grew up in the same church, but it wasn't until they went to a missions conference in Canada during the summer of 2019 that they really connected. Throughout this trip they became close friends very quickly. A couple weeks after returning home, Lucas asked Kacey on their first date. They have been inseparable ever since. Throughout college, they stayed close to home to pursue their degrees while also staying close to one another. As they have been together, they have found photos from church events throughout their childhoods where they were right next to each other and had no idea, they know the Lord was working to bring them together. After being together for four years, they wanted to get engaged before Kacey graduated from college. Lucas made a reservation at a brand new rooftop restaurant in Downtown Roanoke called Six and Sky. After they had their meals, Lucas took Kacey out to the roof and asked her to marry him. She was so excited to say yes! Kacey's best friend, Abbie, was hiding to photograph the moment. Lucas then had their families and close friends waiting at his house to celebrate with them. They quickly began wedding planning and are so excited to be spending the rest of their lives together!</p>
