Anyone who knows Kacey knows, that three years ago, love was the last thing on her mind. Her career was taking off and she had just moved to the big city. Everything was going perfect for her but something was missing in her life.&nbsp; Before heading off to her brother's wedding in the countryside, Kacey receives a call from her boss. She got the promotion!&nbsp; While attending the late August wedding (without a date) she runs into her brother’s college roommate, Anthony.&nbsp;A handsome country boy. They immediately hit it off and sparks begin to fly at the end of summer. Weeks pass by and their nights of summer dancing seem to have faded along with the change of seasons, and Kacey must return to the city for her demanding job.&nbsp; As the Christmas holidays roll around, Kacey returns to the countryside to be with her family. She and her sisters share a glass of wine in the family home. They press her about her love life, but there is not much to talk about. “I am just too busy with my work.” Kacey states.&nbsp; The next day Kacey and her dad go to the local Christmas tree farm to cut down a fresh Fraser Fir, a long standing family tradition. As they struggle to get the tree on top of the car, a young man offers to help. It's no other than Anthony.&nbsp; Although his nerves are increased in her father’s presence, he asks Kacey out for a drink. She kindly declines. Anthony, with a smile on his face tells her that if she changes her mind, he will be at the local bar around seven o'clock. The clock strikes seven thirty and Anthony is alone at the bar. Visibly disappointed, he asks the bartender for his bill. “Sorry buddy," says the bartender.&nbsp;&nbsp; As he turns to leave, Kacey is there. She is smiling and says, “Leaving already? Would you stay for one more?” They laugh and drink the night away. Over the next few days they seem to be inseparable and go on several dates including ice skating and sipping hot cider while walking the Christmas Village.&nbsp; One dinner date night, ends in an awkward and tense discussion about what the true meaning of Christmas and life/work priorities are really about.&nbsp; Anthony and Kacey go a few days without speaking. It is now Christmas Eve, and Kacey is with her family. They can tell something is not right. She gets a call from her boss and has to head back to the city. Her family insists it cannot be that important and they refuse to drive her. Kacey’s one sister, reluctantly agrees to take her to the bus station.&nbsp; It begins to snow. Anthony sips a hot chocolate alone in his rustic country side house. He looks at his dog and says, “I know, buddy, I miss her too." He puts his mug down, grabs his keys, and heads out the door.&nbsp; He shows up at Kacey’s parents house, but they tell him she has already left. “You might still be able to catch her at the bus station.” Her mom says.&nbsp; The bus arrives. Kacey is the last to board. As her foot hits the first step of the bus, she turns around. No one is there to stop her. Right before the door shuts, she hears a voice call her name. It's Anthony. She runs into his arms. The bus driver, a large bellied man with a great white beard laughs, smiles, and shouts “Merry Christmas you two." As he closes the door.&nbsp; He asks her to marry her, and she says yes. They get married at Saint Agnes in West Chester, PA on June 23rd at two o'clock. A reception at the Springfield Country Club follows. The caterer runs out of chicken but most of the guests ordered beef anyway.

Transportation

Will there be shuttle transportation? Yes. Bus shuttles will be available for transport from the Fairfield Inn &amp; Suites to the Springfield Country Club for the cocktail hour and reception. The first bus will leave the hotel at 5:00pm. The second bus will leave the hotel at 5:15pm Bus Shuttles will also be available for guests to transport back to the hotel at the end of of the night.

Room block available at Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott! Rooms available for check in Thursday June 22nd and Friday June 23rd, 2023 and check out Saturday June 24th. At this point the room block has expired, but you may email Michael.Mcclernon@marriott.com to check for availability and receive the group rate. Limited rooms are available for stay at the Marriott, which is located next to the reception venue Springfield Country Club. However no room block available at this time!
