Known for its incredible beaches, artists, and most notoriously a LGBTQ haven, it is rich in history and is no short of fun! There are lots of shops, art galleries and restaurants to explore, all easily walkable. You also can take bikes, available at the hotel for a quick 2 mile bike ride along the ocean to get to the main drag!

There's a very good chance you will see Humpbacks this time of year. Two main companies to book with are Dolphin Fleet Whale Watch and Captain John Boats Ptown Whale Watch.

While Kalmar Village is located directly on the beach there are also incredible beaches near by that are worth a visit.
