What time should I arrive?
Please arrive 15-20 minutes early as seating is nontraditional. Venue will be set up for both reception and ceremony. Majority of guests will need to find a round table to sit at. Close family that have been talked with previously will need to sit in the chairs in front of the altar.
What should I wear?
The dress code for our wedding is formal attire (suits for men and cocktail dresses or evening gowns for women) in any color, including black. We only ask that you avoid wearing sage green or navy blue, or white as that is what our wedding party will be wearing. (If you have questions please feel free to reach out to either Nate or Kaci.)
Indoors or Outdoors?
Our ceremony, cocktail hour, and reception will be held indoors. There is a park next door to get some fresh air, however, alcoholic beverages cannot be taken from the building.
Parking?
There is ample parking at the venue, if you are staying at a hotel in Kalamazoo or Portage, Uber and Lyft are available for a fee.
Can I bring my kids?
Absolutely! We would love for your littles to join us to celebrate! While we would enjoy their presence, the choice is entirely up to the parents.
I have dietary restrictions/food allergies?
Please reach out to either Kaci or Nate.
Will there be an open bar?
YES! The drinks are on us for those age 21 and up**, but the memories and hangover are on you!! All we ask is for you to bring cash to tip the bar tenders who will be working hard that day.
** IDs will be required when ordering at bar.
Anyone under the age of 21 has the option of several non-alcoholic beverages.
Where do I stay?
We will have a block of hotel rooms at a discounted price available at two hotels. Please see "Travel" tab for info about hotels and link to book a room. If you have a problem booking, please reach out to Kaci or Nate.
When should I RSVP and what is the best way to RSVP?
Please RSVP no later than May 1, 2024. We have to submit our head counts before our day to ensure we have enough food and chairs for everyone. If for some reason you cannot RSVP before then, please reach out to Kaci or Nate.
To RSVP you can either send in your RSVP card that you received with your wedding invitation or directly through on wedding website.
Do we have a wedding registry?
We have been together for 10 years now, and have lived together for the most of it. Due to that, there is not much that we need in terms of gifts, but we do have a short registry available if you choose to purchase a physical gift. We will however, be accepting financial gifts for things for our home and honeymoon.
Am I allowed to bring a Plus 1?
While we would love to invite everyone to our wedding, due to both finances and seating availability, we ask that only those who are on the invitation come to the wedding. Our guest list is composed of our favorite people and we would like to keep it that way.
Can I post wedding photos to social media?
We ask that you refrain from posting any pictures to social media until the following day June 9, 2024. The day will go quick and we want to take all the time we can to celebrate with everyone! Plus then we can see all of the pictures as they are posted. Feel free to send either Nate and Kaci pictures, also tag them on social media.
