Kacie and Nik met day two of college at the University of Kansas in Lawrence. Nik was buying a Justin Bieber poster at a Hawk Week poster sale and clearly impressed Kacie with his musical taste. They started dating soon after in January 2012. Enjoy one of our oldest and most recent pictures of us together!

Nik proposed to Kacie in Napa Valley, California on a trip with some of their closest friends. He brought about 20 framed photos and candles (and the ring of course!) with him on the flight, only to be stopped by airport security for his tealight candles. With the help of a friend, Kacie left the house in the morning to get breakfast for the group. 45 minutes later, Kacie arrived to a fully decorated Airbnb house termed "House of Memories." Kacie made her way through stations around the house showcasing "Years 1-2" together and "Years 3-4", crying the whole way through. Eventually, this led her to finding Nik outside the house at "Years 5-6" station for the six years they have been dating.
