Are masks required?
No! This venue is allowed to host events without the requirements for masks due to the precaution with sanitation prior to the event, stated by the CDC. They clean all surfaces with a disinfectant that kills any bacteria on contact over the span of several hours after using, spray the air, and use a special UV light to cleanse the venue, making it safe for the night. This event will be outdoors as well during June, which is stated by the CDC that heat can help prevent, slow the spread and possibly kill COVID-19. If you choose to wear a mask, that is up to you, I only ask for the first 4 rows during the ceremony to be mask free so we can see our friend’s and family’s faces during the ceremony :) and please still remain six feet apart when possible and to attend the event, you need to be responsible prior to the event with exposure and staying safe so there are no risks and we can live this night care free, like it should be!
What do I wear?
This is a semi/ formal event celebrating in our best clothes so we want you to shine too! Please no jeans or denim or clothing that may be concerning or questionable! No flip-flops, skinny stiletto heels (rules of venue) If you do, you'll be given a clear heel cap. (any other heels are fine) Oh! Please do not wear white! You're more than welcome to shoot a question or picture to the bride!
Will there be a place to stay?
Yes! Mount Dora is a lovely place with tons of shops and places to eat and stay, the hotel is the Hilton Garden Inn and is $109 a night under the "Kacie Foster and Dylan Kidd" hotel block (call to reserve your room) and they are offering a complimentary shuttle to and from the wedding venue!
Are kids allowed?
Yes Yes Yes! This is a magical day filled with fun, beautiful flowers, giant bubble rings, and a huge field for running and playing! I highly recommend bringing your kids! I only caution that there is an open body of water at the end of the field and to be careful toward the physical building since it is a restored historical landmark.
Are there any rules for the venue?
Yes! Sydonie Mansion is a beautiful historic landmark dating back to 1904 so the venue needs to be treated as such! Tiny stiletto heels are not allowed without clear heel caps given at the venue because they can damage the hardwood floors and landscaping. (The caps given actually make walking easier) No open flames allowed, this includes smoking, smoking must be done off the venue. Kids are in fact allowed and recommended! This mansion is honestly a dream and breathtaking for all ages! If you have any other questions or concerns, make a note when you RSVP.
Will there be alcohol?
Of course :)
