MiKayla's story: Kadin and I first met in 5th grade confirmation. At the time, I thought Kadin was pretty cute but I never really talked to him, he still thought girls had cooties. Then 8th grade rolled around and I developed a huge crush on Kadin. I found out he also sort of liked me as well. We started dating after confirmation was over during the summer of 2015. It was a young and awkward relationship that ended after four months because I realized he was kind of annoying. Junior year rolls around and we started hanging out in the same friend group. We became best friends very quickly and started dating the end of junior year. Since then, we have graduated high school and college together, moved to another city, and became dog parents to Mr. Ruger. We are both extremely excited for this next chapter of our lives together and can't wait to see what the future may hold.

Kadins story: MiKayla and I met in 5th grade confirmation class. At the time, I did not have any interest in girls, but a little birdie told me that MiKayla had a crush on me. Once I found that out, I still had no interest in her. We started to talk here and there throughout the next few years of confirmation and I developed a slight crush on her. As our 8th grade year ended, we started to date for the first time lasting a whole 4 months. MiKayla told me I was annoying and too immature for her, so she broke up with me. The next few years went by and we kinda went our separate ways and stopped being friends, until junior year of high school. I had a few friends that were friends with her friends, and we eventually turned into a big friend group. We all became closer as friends and I still thought she was cute. As time went on I started to get those old feelings for her again, like I did a few years prior, but I knew I had no shot since she was in a relationship. A few months later, MiKayla and her ex went their separate ways and then I knew it was my time to shine. I gave her space for a while until one night we were all hanging out, and I knew I needed to tell her how I felt. So I did… It was kind of awkward at first since she wasnt sure what she wanted. A few weeks went by, she realized she had the same feelings for me, and then we eventually started dating again at the end of our junior year. Since then, MiKayla and I have done many things together from graduating high school and college together to moving to Grand Forks to even getting our wonderful pup Ruger. Now I can say we are very excited for what the future has in store for us.
