From two goofy friends to two marvelous partners in crime. We eventually accumulated our third ride or die, little guy, Remington.

On the last day on a family cruise to Hawaii, we were instructed to prepare for a boat tour and a luau for our final night in the islands and on Kuai. Kaelyn found a cute, new dress in a local Hawaiian shop that day and Alec naturally would not have worn anything else other than a bright pink and blue flamingo ensemble.

Leading up to the "Fern Grotto" both Grandma Susan and Grandpa Ben did not have sure footing on the pathway up, this coupled with the secret plan greatly increased the anxiety that Alec was experiencing.

We as a family stayed behind for photos and Kaelyn became suspicious when Abby insisted on taking her purse to not have in the photo. When Kaelyn turned around to hand Abby the purse, she sees Alec drop to one knee out of the corner of her eye. Quickly, she turns about to scold him for tying his shoes while his mom is taking photos!

Kaelyn then stands, shocked instead and staring at a small box with a ring in it; "What.. the heck is that?".

Alec mutters "While we are here..."

Suddenly, the native Hawaiian wedding song that was shared with the tour group about 15 minutes prior made so much more sense to the occasion. A long time ago Alec was told to not make this obvious as Kaelyn would easily catch on. Alec did well and could have not planned a more beautiful or surprising adventure.
