Kae and Steve matched on Hinge and Bumble almost simultaneously. At the time, Steve was finishing up graduate school and living with Nathan and Sebastian near ECU’s campus in downtown Greenville. Kae was nearing the completion of her undergraduate Chemistry degree and living in “The Coop” with Madelyn, Joanne, and Robyn. After matching on the apps, it was Kae who made the first move:
