Theresa and Kai’s story actually begins several years prior to them actually meeting. In 2018 Theresa was on the dating app Hinge looking for love, and Kai, who was visiting home from Washington DC, was just curious about what was going on in the Falls area. They got to talking but when Kai went back to DC Theresa got ghosted. But as fate would have it a global pandemic shut down the entire country and Kai decided to move back to PA in search of a less stressful life in the woods again. Somehow Theresa forgave Kai and they started messaging on tinder in the winter of 2020 and met shortly before Theresa got covid in January of 2021.

Quite a few things happened that we don’t want to bore you with, but in May of 2022 they attended the Eras tour, Theresa scored tickets for Kai’s 30th birthday, and yes it was the best present ever! They booked the airport Hilton and made some great friends, the next morning while getting ready Kai was nervously writing notes and trying to hide a ring box in a clear stadium approved bag and heard from the bathroom “I shaved my eyebrows I didn’t like the way they looked” that added a lot of stress to the day but luckily Theresa is an expert makeup artist and you can’t even tell! Later that night to the song “Lover” Kai had Taylor ask Theresa about marriage by using the lyrics “I’ve loved you three summers now honey, but I want em all” the amazing people around us filmed the moment and while Theresa never technically said yes, screamed “AREYOUKIDDINGME?!” Kai took it as a yes.

Kai and Theresa now engaged spend their free time hanging out with their 6 cats: Chicken, Nugget, Crouton, Eugene, Stormy, and Aioli. And spend a lot of time going to Philly to visit the Philly zoo “because we’re members!!” Theresa hates the spiders but always goes because Kai enjoys looking at them, and Kai is tired of the rare primate house but it’s Theresa’s favorite part, they’re both good at compromise.
