WHERE THEY MET... During the 4th of July parade (2017) in Seaside, OR while Matt was on bike patrol with Kai's brother, David.

FIRST DATE... After Kai got the "okay" from her older brother, Matt asked her out to the movie, Annabelle. However, the couple couldn't wait 2 weeks for the premiere, so dates leading up included the Subaru Dealership/Burgerville and Top Golf. Matt and Kai officially started dating on July 27, 2017.

THE ENGAGEMENT... On July 19, 2018 while vacationing in Aruba, Matt and Kai walked down to the water on Palm Beach to watch the sunset. Matt handed off his phone to a man (in video mode) to take a "picture" of the couple. Matt then knelt down and asked Kai for her hand in marriage. Although Kai saw the hints, she had a 'deer in the headlights' stare, but was able to say "yes" moments later.

WEDDING BELLS... July 27, 2019- Two years to the day the couple started dating, they will be getting married!
