Q + A

Can I Bring my children/child/pet?

Picture of Can I Bring my children/child/pet?
No… unless they were explicitly invited to be one of the four flower children. (I guess you can bring them to Philadelphia, but traveling with children seems suboptimal. Also not sure if the hotels are pet or child friendly.)

Can I make a song request from the band?

If you message Brian or Kaila before August with your request, we may forward it to the band. We’re not going to ask the band to play the ‘Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald,’ it is a great song but it’s not the right mood for the occasion… I know Gordon Lightfoot is great, again not the mood.

Should I drive to the venue?

No. Parking at both welcome drinks and ceremony is limited. The ceremony venue has a parking lot with only 6 spots often taken by regular patrons. There are no parking garages nearby. Our neighborhood isn’t quite that built up. You’ll be looking for street parking in the blocks around the venues. There will also be a festival that day from Girard to Palmer, which will mean closed streets and tighter parking than usual. We recommend leaving your car at the hotel. Take a Lyft or Uber. Also both events are at breweries, we want everyone to be responsible and to be able to let loose.

Will there be non-alcoholic beverage options?

Yes!

Is my outfit too loud?

If it’s not a white dress and you’re feeling confident, no.

What’s the best way of getting around Philadelphia?

Walking, subway or Lyft. If you’re new to the city we don’t recommend taking the subway back from either event. If you’re feeling adventurous, it’s an affordable way to travel during the day. For the evening in particular, we recommend you download the Lyft or Uber apps or build up those calve. It is the gritty city of brotherly love so always be aware of your surroundings.
