Nathanael and Kailee met on May 31st, 2023, and got engaged on April 18th, 2024. The story behind it is truly God ordained. Being nearly 700 miles apart (Kailee living in Houston and Nathanael living in Birmingham), God brought these two together in a very unique way. Nathanael, being a pilot, flew out of “Atlantic East” at Birmingham International Airport for many years until Kailee’s company “Million Air” took over in June of 2023. Kailee, working for corporate at Million Air out of Houston, was sent along with many others at the end of May to make sure the operation would transition smoothly, as well as meet the base tenants (pilots / owners) to build relationships. Little did she know, she would also be building her very own relationship. Nathanael flew back from Corpus Christi, Texas that day, and parked at the former “Atlantic East”, which was now “Million Air”, and immediately started meeting the new employees. As he walked into the building, Kailee walked past him to help customers behind the front desk, in which normally she would be in an office working on something else; the timing was perfect. Nathanael immediately thought, this girl was out of his league but still wanted to see if she would be a new employee based out of Birmingham, so that he could hopefully take her on a date one day. As he walked up to the counter, he created small talk, and Kailee said she was only in town for two weeks until she had to go back to Houston. Nathanael thought to himself, “Dang, well that’s okay because I want to know what her relationship with Jesus is like anyways”, and gave her a fuel order for his plane for the next day and walked away. What Nathanael didn’t know was that Kailee had an hour-long conversation on the phone with his father (who is his boss in aviation, as well as a pastor of a church), just prior to him and her meeting. Kailee, and Nathanael’s father “Shawn”, discussed aviation and how many planes he managed, per usual business conversation, as her job was to get to know all of the clients in Birmingham. God moved in that conversation and they both somehow started talking about the Lord and her relationship with Jesus. So Shawn invited Kailee to visit his church since she was in town for a couple of weeks, and she said she would love to visit. Keep in mind, Shawn and Kailee didn’t meet each other in person, they only talked on the phone. So as Nathanael proceeded to walk out of the building after just meeting Kailee, not even 30 seconds later his mother called him. He answered the phone and she immediately said, “Hey! What do you think about this Kailee girl?”. Bewildered, Nathanael thought his mother was stalking him, and asked how in the world she knew of her, as well as he thought Kailee was very beautiful, but wanted to know what her relationship with Jesus was like first. His dad in the background immediately said “Well son you’re going to find out Sunday, because she’s coming to church!”. Nathanael knew he needed to be at church that Sunday and was going to part the Red Sea to make it happen so that he could see this girl again. So Kailee took an Uber, over 30 mins of driving to a small town church, in a state she’s never been to, all by herself because she felt that the Lord wanted her to go visit that church. She asked over five other employees to go with her but none of them could, so she still went by herself. She did not know Nathanael would be there, or that him and Shawn were even related. Once Nathanael saw her walk into church, he smiled and knew that she was worth asking out on a date, regardless of how far apart they lived. After service, they small talked, and he eventually told her that she was absolutely gorgeous and would love to take her out to dinner before she went back to Houston. Star struck by Nathanael’s jawline, she said she would love to. Their first date was on June 8th, 2023, and they knew immediately that there was something special about each other. Nathanael and Kailee went on many more dates before he finally proposed nearly a year later. They both prayed two months before meeting each other and wrote down what they wanted in a husband and wife, and God fulfilled that prayer even though they were far apart. With God, nothing is impossible.&nbsp;
