Our story began in October of 2022 as Parker was wrapping up a memorable baseball season in Houston and I was settling into my first "post-grad" apartment after moving back home to Texas. Parker loves to tell the story of how I stood him up on our first date, but I think he is still not over the fact that I beat him in mini golf when I did finally decide to go out with him. It obviously did not affect him too much, as we have been inseparable ever since that first date! Our families have grown to love each other as much as Parker and I do, and we could not be more excited to get married!

We have become pros at traveling between Houston and Fort Worth during the off season to spend as much quality time together as possible. This particular weekend in October, I was heading up to Fort Worth to attend a wedding with Parker and his family. The next day we had plans to enjoy a nice dinner at one of our favorite spots in the Stockyards. Parker had just finished another season and I was excited to celebrate his accomplishments as we rarely have time to do so during the year. To my surprise, I walked up to the most beautiful outdoor setup where I immediately knew something was up. Surrounded by our friends and family, Parker got down on one knee and popped the question! It was the most beautiful night and I am so blessed with the community of people who got to witness it!
