Dear family and friends,

We hope you and yours are healthy and safe during this time, and we appreciate all the love and support we’ve received from each of you. Although the COVID-19 crisis has created much uncertainty, we will be proceeding with our wedding on May 7th, 2021. We understand that the situation is in constant flux, but based on the current CDC guidelines and the amount of people coming who are vaccinated, we feel that it will be safe to gather and celebrate. Alex and Kailey met on Tinder in November 2015, there first date was at the Wicked Hop located in Milwaukee's Third Ward (best Bloody Mary's in town by far). They dated on and off through April 2016, until one day while driving in the car Alex (finally) confessed his love for Kailey. Of course, Kailey felt the same, and had already told him multiple times. She was thrilled that Alex felt the same way that she did.
About a year later they moved in together, after Charlies approval of course (that's Kailey's dog). Not soon after, they added Lloyd the Basset Hound to the family. After a couple years of laughs, LOTS of traveling, a 2,000 mile move across the county, and a whole lot of Star Wars-- Alex decided to ask Kailey to Marry him... (To be continued...)

In November 2018, exactly 3 years after they had met, Kailey and Alex decided to take a trip to Las Vegas (yes, another trip). In the weeks leading up to this vacation, Alex had been preparing to propose. They had already picked out a ring together in July. Alex asked Kailey's mom (Kara), dad (Ken), and step dad (Tom) for her hand in marriage. He also consulted with his mom (Tracy) and dad (Mike) for advice. Before he knew it the time had come, and they were on there way to Vegas.
The day Alex had planed on proposing (November 17th) had finally come. Alex was mean to her the entire day to throw Kailey off. She didn't suspect a thing. Later that night they went all over town, drinks and views at the Stratosphere, they had dinner at Mizumi (sushi is Kaileys favorite), and dancing at Intrigue Nightclub at the Whynn. After a wonderful night, they decided to walk around the Garden in the Bellagio (by this time it was very late at night.. it had taken Alex a while to build up his courage). There was no one there but the two of them, the time was perfect, and Alex got down on one knee. Of course, Kailey said yes. (It was a good thing Alex waiting until the middle of the night, November 18th is a special day for her, Grandma Bobbies Birthday)
Side note: Poor Alex... there was a metal detector at The Stratosphere (he had to tell security he had a ring without Kailey noticing) and security at Intrigue Nightclub made him take the ring out of his pocket, then security DROPPED THE RING! Luckily, Kailey had already gone into the club and did not see any of this happen. It all worked out eventually.
