Our love story began in Austin, TX on May 28th, 2022 on a party barge at Lake Travis where we were introduced by two friends. I was initially drawn in by Kailey’s radiant beauty, but after spending the weekend together and hours upon hours of FaceTime calls, it was her thoughtfulness, playfulness, and genuine personality that captured my heart.

I was fortunate to have had a conference in DFW scheduled for the middle of June, and took that as an opportunity to head up a day early to spend some quality time with Kailey. Then, a few weeks later on July 15th, we officially began dating after a nice dinner in Bishop Arts!

The 208 miles between us was initially a challenge, but it taught us to be intentional with our time, the value of communication, and to appreciate the little moments. As someone who tended to live life more spontaneously, I quickly became quite the planner, filling the weekends on my calendar with time spent between Dallas, Austin, Houston, and of course, College Station.

The next year and a half was full of fairy tale moments. From vacations to Mexico, leisurely walks around the lake, fancy dinners, lazy days at home, country concerts, and Aggie football games, I fell more and more in love with Kailey each and every day.

On October 21st, 2023, Kailey had planned some birthday celebrations for me. Little did she know that with the help of some very special friends and family, I had a surprise in store for her. As we exited the elevator at the top of the Chase Tower, much to Kailey’s surprise, there was no rooftop bar. Instead, a path of rose petals, candles, and pictures of our journey together greeted us, leading to a bouquet of flowers and an engagement ring. Fighting back tears, I got down on one knee and received the best YES of my life!

Kailey and I are thrilled to start our life together as husband and wife! We look forward to serving our community, starting a beautiful family, and continuing to appreciate the little moments. Thank you for being a part of our love story, and we can’t wait to celebrate with you on November 22nd!
