Where will the wedding take place?

The wedding is taking place at the rural property of dear family friends, Mike and Kim Giffen. They have graciously invited us to celebrate our big day at their home in Glen Huron. The address is 2028 6th Concession South, Glen Huron, Ontario. Weather permitting, the ceremony will be held outdoors in their backyard, in the grass. The cocktail and refreshment hour will also be outdoors. The reception will take place indoors. Each of these locations are about 100 metres apart, with a variety of surfaces including grass, gravel and concrete. Please choose your footwear accordingly!

How do I get to the venue?

Shuttles will be provided from Collingwood to the venue and at the end of the evening from the venue to Collingwood. Click the "Travel" tab for information on shuttle schedules + pick up/ drop off locations. If you are driving yourself, please click on the travel tab for detailed instructions on how to get yourself to the venue OR plug the following address into your preferred GPS system: 2028 Concession 6 South, Glen Huron, ON *Please note that if you are coming via Airport Road, your GPS may try to direct you through a route that is currently closed due to bridge construction, causing delays. Leaving extra time is advised, or plan to continue straight through to Stayner, and head WEST on Highway 91 from the intersection in Stayner toward the destination*

Where do I park?

There will be plenty of free parking available onsite. Signs and ushers will be available to assist you upon arrival.

How do I RSVP?

You will have received an electronic invitation sent to your email. Please click on either "WILL ATTEND" or "WILL NOT ATTEND" to let us know if you can join us.

What should I wear?

The dress code is formal. The ceremony + cocktail hour will be outdoors; dress accordingly and pray for good weather! The reception will be held indoors. There are a variety of surfaces including grass, gravel and concrete; choose your footwear accordingly!

What time should I arrive?

The ceremony will start at 3:30 pm. Please arrive between 3:00 -3:15 to allow yourself time to park and find a seat.

Where can I bring/send a gift?

Your presence is the greatest present we could ever ask for! However, if you would like to bless us with a gift, please bring it on the day of the wedding. In lieu of a traditional registry, we have decided to create a honeymoon fund. Should you wish to honour us with a gift, a contribution towards this would be greatly appreciated! There will be a wedding card box at the reception.

What happens if it rains?

We are hoping to have the ceremony and cocktail hour outdoors, so please pray for good weather! In the event that it does rain, we will relocate these events into the building where we are hosting the reception. As always, dress according to the weather on the day of!

Are the grounds accessible?

The entire event will be held at one location, with a mixture of gravel, grass and concrete surfaces. Individuals can be driven right up to each of the event spaces (ie ceremony, cocktail hour area, reception building) if necessary. Bathrooms are located in a trailer with two small steps. Further accommodations can be provided. Please reach out directly if you have any questions or concerns and we will be happy to discuss further!

Will food be served?

There will be light refreshments and finger food served with cocktails around 4:30 pm. A buffet style dinner will be served at 6:30 pm.

How can I let you know about dietary restrictions?

A greek menu will be served with meat protein, vegetarian and vegan options. When you RSVP via the electronic invitation, there is an option to communicate about allergies and dietary restrictions there.

Will there be an open bar?

Yes.

Will there be non-alcoholic options?

Yes.

Are children invited?

This is an adults only celebration. Please find a sitter and enjoy a night out celebrating with us!

Is there anything else I can bring?

We will have a selection of fun dress up items to play with on the dance floor. If you have any props such as a hat, scarf, crown, sunglasses or any other item that you think will add to the fun, please feel to bring it with you for the dance floor!
