Our Wedding

Thanks to a great group of friends, we met at a backyard bonfire. We spent the night playing games and having fun. After some liquid encouragement, Josh asked for my number! I was actually stunned because I wasn't expecting it, but I quickly became intrigued. From what I hear, Josh proceeded to talk about me the entire ride home and even mentioned meeting me to his mother the very next day! I waited to hear from him but also started asking my friends questions about him too. Turns out, Josh accidentally added too many digits into his phone when he saved my number. So, when he texted the next day, it didn't go through. He figured I wasn't interested, and we both spent the next couple months thinking about the other, wondering what could be if timing worked itself out. After two months, another party was to be held in the same backyard! So, I added Josh to the invite list to gauge his interest one last time. Sure enough, he showed up! He was supposed to be at drill for the National Guard that week, but due to COVID it was cancelled. Lucky me! When he arrived, he was wearing "jorts" or jean shorts he had made himself and a navy button down with bananas all over it. I assume he felt like if we were meant to be, I would be into this outfit. It honestly didn't faze me, and I was still very attracted to him and his personality. I mean, who wears that to a party? LOL Our friends quickly arranged a group shot and then proceeded to scatter like cats after, leaving just the two of us behind to talk. We discovered the incorrect phone number, admitted we'd both been thinking about the other one for the past couple of months. He kissed me in the formal dining room that night and the rest is history!
