Nathan and Kailyn met during the summer of 2023. Anyone who knows either, knows that faith is incredibly important to both of them. In fact, their very first interaction was through social media, when Nathan made a comment about how beautiful a picture of a church that Kailyn posted was. They both soon learned that they would be on the same track and field team at Concordia University. They met in person on July 30, 2023 at a freshman track and field get-together at Calamus Lake. From there, their friendship grew and transformed into something deeper. Nathan and Kailyn officially began dating on August 20, 2023. Exactly a year later, Nathan proposed at Sunken Gardens in Lincoln, NE after dinner at one of their favorite restaurants, Vincenzo's. Both Nathan and Kailyn enjoy agriculture, music, hiking, and visiting the zoo. Recently, Kailyn convinced Nathan to get into reading for enjoyment. Now, rather than blowing cash on takeout, they purchase books instead. They have two cats, Kailyn's childhood pet Zion, and Nathan's new kitten Hexx.
