We met in high school. We had an internship together our senior year where we both were student videographers. After graduation, we went our separate ways. Kailyn went on to MSU while Will pursued his career as an EMT/Paramedic/Firefighter.

After graduating, we reconnected and had our first date at a hole-in-the-wall Irish pub where Will almost broke a chandelier and Kailyn had the worst Long Island in her life.

We survived dating through a pandemic and eventually got a house in Waterford (that Will didn't even initially want to see)

In 2023, we planned a trip to Fort Myers, Florida. On our way to visit Captiva Beach, we pulled over and watched a pod of dolphins hunt some fish right by the road. We then walked on the beach at sunset, saw a turtle's freshly made nest in the sand, and then Will got down on his torn ACL knee and proposed.
