So most of you are probably wondering how Kait and Steven met in the first place. Well, let's go back to the year 2014 where it all started. Back on September 7, 2014, Kait went to her friend's house for a bonfire after a long work out at Lifetime Fitness. During the bonfire, Kait was having a good time with her friends until, Steven later appeared to the picture. She had no idea who Steven was; so she decided to introduce herself to him. She found out he was working at Kroger where she was also working at the time as they were having a conversation. However, he worked at the Milford location, not at Mason. Those two shared their work stories all night until, they went inside their friend's house to watch "Frozen.” "Frozen" was their first Disney movie they watched together.

As the weeks past, Kait and Steven couldn't stop talking to each other every day. They hung out with their friends by watching movies, eating out, going bowling, and visiting the Ohio Renaissance festival. Their friends wondered if they were dating. Kait told them that she and Steven were just friends. However, Steven kind of wanted to get out of the friend zone because, he was starting to fall for her. He suddenly had an idea. He asked her if she would be interested in hiking at Hocking Hills with him. She has never been there before so she decided to give it a shot. As they were hiking at Hocking Hills, Kait fell in love with the whole atmosphere. She never wanted to leave. When Halloween was around the corner, Kait and Steven were trying to figure out what to be for their friend's Halloween party. As they were browsing around at every store they went to, they later caught up with some friends at a park. After that day, Steven really wanted to be out of the friend's zone with Kait because, he started to like her more than just a friend. He asked her out on a date but, she didn't answer. Steven later asked her out again the next morning. She said she would love to go on a date with him, and so they did.

On October 17, 2014, Kait and Steven went on their first date. Steven took her to a place called Krohn Conservatory down in Cincinnati. Krohn Conservatory is a greenhouse where people come and see different plants and flowers and even watch butterflies flutter around. When they got there, the Krohn was closed for the day. They were very disappointed. So, Steven took her out to Ruby Tuesday's for dinner. The food was alright however, they took their time having a friendly conversation. After dinner, they headed to Steven's parent's house ,where Kait met his parents and his rough collie, Anita. Anita was very excited to meet her. She is a VERY friendly puppy! As Kait and Steven were watching a Marvel movie, "Captain America", Kait had no idea if they were officially boyfriend and girlfriend. Steven really wanted this to happen so, he ended up calling her his girlfriend. The two ended up making their relationship official on Facebook, leading their friends and family members ecstatic. Everyone thought it was about time. And that is how they met.

Everyone loves a good old proposal story right? Well, you're in for a real treat because it's going to get a lot sweeter. Throughout their relationship, Steven knew that Kait has been the one for him. On April 27th, 2018, Steven and Kait's lives changed forever. Steven had an idea of taking Kait on this special camping trip to Hocking Hills for a long time. So, here's the story.

Steven got off work after a long day. He was waiting for her at his place because he was going to take her out to dinner at Texas Roadhouse, one of Kait's favorite restaurants. So by the time Kait showed up, they headed there. During dinner, the waitress they had was so slow waiting on them. The food was good of course but Kait had no idea why Steven was getting impatient. By the time dinner was over, they finally headed to Hocking Hills. When they got there, the welcome center was closed for the day. Steven got very aggravated. He wanted to file a complaint with the campgrounds about their hours. Not just them, there were another couple who weren't happy at all either. Moments later, an employee showed up to the building. Steven thought it was about time they got checked in. The employee gave them their keys along with a map.

Kait and Steven arrived to their cabin. They started unloading his truck little by little. Steven had this idea of taking Kait on this trail she has never been on before until he realized it was getting late. He was very disappointed; it was getting dark. He couldn't stand waiting much longer. So, as Kait was still helping unload the truck, Steven, out of the blue, got down on one knee and popped the question. Kait's jaw dropped and her eyes lit up as she saw the ring. She asked if it was real. He said yes. And she said yes!
