Our story began on June 11th 2015 when Kevin traveled to Houston for a work trip and introduced himself to me at our company's headquarters. We both went to a happy hour later that day and instantly hit it off - becoming best friends in one evening (see our first picture together at the happy hour below). The entire summer was an absolute dream for both of us - we traveled to multiple states together and made memories we would never forget.

Fast forward to the end of the summer when I had to go back to college in South Carolina. After a few months of trying long distance and being uncertain about what our future would look like, we eventually grew apart and realized the timing for our relationship was not right.

Seven years later on April 11th 2022, I decided to reach back out to Kevin, certain our love was the greatest I had ever known. I wrote him a letter and asked if he wanted to get to know the "new Kate". He responded after only 3 minutes with "Yes, of course".

Just like our whirlwind summer romance in 2015, we immediately fell back into love once again, almost like no time had passed. We were now 100% confident the timing was right for us. I got a new job, packed up my life in North Carolina, and moved to Houston to be with Kevin.

One year later, Kevin proposed to me off the coast of Catalina Island with some of our best friends in attendance. It was the best day of our lives. We are incredibly excited to be married, travel the world together, start a family, and be at each other's side for a lifetime.
