Italy is an amazing country rich in history, art, and breath taking views. I highly recommend looking at activities and tour on Viator or Trip Advisor. Italy has fantastic public transportation that is very safe and cheap! Florence is in central Italy, which makes exploring the rest of the country very easy. Florence is 1.5hr train ride to Rome and 2hrs from Venice.
