When looking for venues, the bride and groom knew they wanted something intimate. With a suggestion from a coworker, they found Lillian Gardens. Once the bride and groom and both of their mother's toured the place, they all knew it was meant to be. Initially, the bride wanted to get married in front of the beautiful stained glass inside the house but was convinced to be married in the Gardens once she stepped outside.
Although the wedding day came with freezing temperatures, everyone made the best out of it and enjoyed a 'winter wonderland'.
For the reception, the couple reserved Lilah Grey to have their own private ceremony with family.
During the reception, it was discovered our server had known the groom's family! What a small world!
The family enjoyed tapas, especially the frog legs!
With any wedding day, there are always hiccups that come along. In this wedding, that was the flowers. Although the bride and groom's mother ordered flowers prior to the wedding, there were no flowers ready on the day of the wedding!
However, Murphey's Florist worked quickly and completed the order just an hour before the ceremony. Whew!
The wedding cake is half strawberry and half vanilla with wedding cake icing. The cake was topped with the same wedding topper from the groom's parents wedding from 1979!
Caleb worked with the bride and groom when they worked at Chick-fil-A. He was kind enough to drive from Alabama to Georgia to take pictures of the ceremony. He went right to work on the photos and gave them back to the bride and groom before the public reception party the next week!
