Aerospace and sports brought Kaitlin & Will together from the very beginning. They first met when Kaitlin was playing for the Boeing softball team and Will's good friend and Groomsman, Forrest, brought him to a game to sub in. Will was so incredibly impressed by Kaitlin's athleticism that he decided to reach out and ask her on a date.

Since then, their journey together has been a whirlwind of new adventures — from picking up new hobbies and sports to exploring the world (more on that soon). Their relationship is defined by a shared love of discovery, staying active, and always seeking new ‘firsts’ together.

Huntsville has become a special place for Kaitlin and Will individually and as a couple as their relationship has grown. Both transplants, their passion for the space industry is what brought them here. Late nights spent talking about their passions and future goals in the stars has helped their relationship move to a place where they both saw a future.

While there were many similarities that aligned Kaitlin and Will from the beginning, their differences are also part of what made them fall in love. Kaitlin has many traits that Will didn't know he was missing in his life, but has come to love and depend on in his partner. Unwavering love for her family and friends, endless energy and positivity, ambition and passion, and type A planning and organization are just a few!

Will also brought a world of surprises into Kaitlin’s life. His unique perspective opened her heart and mind in ways she never anticipated, and from the very beginning, she was captivated by his intelligence and insatiable curiosity. Will's calming demeanor allowed her a safe place in her chaotic & busy world. She learned how to dream big with him and build confidence in the impossible.

The culmination of this chapter comes with their recent big trip to Italy. Inspired by their commitment to travel the world together and do big things, Will took the opportunity to find a beautiful quiet spot in the historic Roman countryside, surrounded by their closest family, to ask Kaitlin if she would allow him to spend the rest of his life sailing in the ocean of her eyes.

While this chapter of the story is wrapping up October 18th with a bang, the story of the rest of their lives is just beginning, and they are over the moon excited to have you all be a part of it!
