Kaitlin and Nathan were lab partners during their first lab of Anatomy & Physiology 1 at Texas A&M in January of 2022. They immediately bonded as Nathan found out it was Kaitlin's first day on the triathlon team at A&M (then Nathan told her he was an Ironman) and they both wanted to go into nursing.

Kaitlin and Nathan went on their first date and found out they had a lot of similarities. Nathan asked Kaitlin to be his girlfriend on February 6th, 2022; they've been inseparable since!

Nathan proposed on August 8th, 2024.
