We both grew up in the same community but had never met until 2016. That spring semester in high school, we took a computer class together. We shared some small talk about sports, school, and other topics, but nothing more came of it. Later, Stephen reached out to Kaitlin on social media. That summer, we went on our first date to see a movie. At the time, we decided to remain friends rather than start dating. Although we weren't a couple, we became best friends and even attended Kaitlin's senior prom together.

Even after high school, we remained very close friends. Everyone teased us, saying we just needed to go ahead and give things a try together. Deep down, we both knew we were in love with each other but wouldn't admit it. One day, we realized life was too short and officially started dating on August 16th, 2019.

We continued dating over the next four years. In July 2023, we purchased our first home—a cozy little two-bedroom house, perfect for starting out. We have our cat, Luna, and our German Shepherd, Benji, to keep us company. On December 4th, 2023, Stephen decided to ask Kaitlin to marry him. After a nice, long engagement, it's time to get down to business.
