Jacqueline and Kaitlin's two very different world's collided on May 1, 2021. On the dating app Bumble, neither were expecting to find any connections. Then on that fated day, Jacqueline swiped right on a beautiful band director with an unforgettable smile standing in her yard in the snow, and Kaitlin swiped right on a confident med student who had a mutual obsession with the show "Friends". Jacqueline asked Kaitlin, "what is one thing that always, without fail, makes you smile?" When they both answered quickly "dogs", it was obvious that there was something to be explored. Their first date was going for a walk in Craighead Forest Park, drinking iced Chai Lattes and discussing important topics like, "what would you do in the zombie apocalypse?".

In the following months they would spend many evenings eating dinner together, watching movies, and being overly competitive at card games. As in any good queer relationship, Jacqueline blurted out that she loved Kaitlin after 2 months, standing in the rain on Kaitlin's 29th birthday, with Kaitlin following shortly after. The rest of the story has involved many many Star Wars marathons, road trips around Arkansas and to Missouri, and all the love and laughter two people can possibly hold without exploding into a million rainbow sparkles.

Through all that life could throw at them: Jacqueline's near death experience in 2022, many sleepless study nights, and stressful band competition seasons, their love has endured and flourished. In this life, and every life before and after, they belong together, and will find each other even when they aren't looking <3
