-Stockyards Brewing (1600 Genessee St #100):&nbsp;Brewery serving craft brews, cocktails & American eats in a polished, historic building.



-Brewery Emperial (1829 Oak St):&nbsp;Rustic-industrial taproom & brewery serving its own craft ales & lagers with refined eclectic fare.



-Boulevard Brewing&nbsp;(2501 Southwest Blvd):&nbsp;Sprawling, established local brewery featuring tours, free beer samples & other offerings. A classic!



-Torn Label Brewing (1708 Campbell St): Tiny local&nbsp;brewery, great beer.&nbsp;

-Ruins Pub (1715 Main St): Pour your own beer! Try just a little of each, or a whole pint of one you like. Great food, too!



-McCoy's Public House (4057 Pennsylvania Ave): In the heart of Westport! A great choice for a restaurant as well as local brews. Jake likes their Hog Pound Brown; I like the Raspberry Wheat.

Westport is one of the oldest neighborhoods in Kansas City, located roughly between 39th Terrace and 43rd Street to the north and south and Main Street and the SW Trafficway to the east and west. Originally called West Port, the neighborhood got its name as it was the westernmost village where settlers stocked up before venturing into the Kansas Territory.

Today the neighborhood is known for its blend of tasty eateries, trendy boutiques and popular nighttime hot spots. By day Westport buzzes with residents and tourists, but really comes to life at night as the restaurants and bars fill up.

Although much of “West Port” is long gone, today’s Westport continues to charm and entertain modern-day explorers.
