It was a hot summer day of August 2012 and there were bags everywhere laying outside of the Rodney D building. After Tommy settled in to Rodney D3 & Kaitlyn settled into Rodney D4, it was only a matter of time before their paths crossed. They eventually met through mutual friends (and living a floor apart) and would just smile and wave when they passed each other.

Fast forward to Spring Semester of sophomore year in 2014, they ran into each other on North Chapel Street at an always classy, Delaware day drink. Beers were shared and conversation was made. The two parted ways and said goodbye. The next morning, Kaitlyn woke up to a nice message on Facebook of “hey what’s up”. The two joined the “talking stage” of college relationships. It wasn’t until move-out day sophomore year, when Tommy came running up to say goodbye to Kaitlyn, and meet Mrs. Andersen for the first time, at Klondike Kates that Mrs. Andersen’s suspicions began.

Kaitlyn and Tommy talked all through the summer and while Kaitlyn was moving in, Tommy came to help. While she insisted all through the summer, she insisted she didn’t have a boyfriend, she let it slip during move-in. Two days later, Tommy officially asked her to be his girlfriend.

Fast forward 6 years, with more local moves throughout Newark, DE; Kaitlyn to Syracuse, NY for graduate school at Le Moyne College; Tommy to Hoboken, NJ for LendEdu; and eventually both into their respective homes in Hoboken, NJ.

On June, 5, 2021, Tommy finally popped the question to Kaitlyn in front of their family and friends. Tears were shed and champagne was popped!

Now here we are! Engaged, & ready to get married! We can’t wait to celebrate with you!
