Our story begins at Christus St. Vincent, where Nick was initially fondly known to myself and colleagues as the HME guy. This was a couple of years before we actually met and fell in love. Over the next few years, I had brief encounters with the HME guy, who I thought was very cute. However, it wasn't until we locked eyes at the nurses' station and I realized he had begun working at the hospital, paving the way for more frequent interactions. I couldn't wait to see him again after that. We eventually connected on Facebook, went on our first date, and were virtually inseparable thereafter. We developed a profound connection, becoming best friends and falling deeply in love. It quickly became apparent that we were destined to be together.
