If You Ask Jeremy: When you grow up in Archbold, OH, you will have mutual friends with just about everyone. Well, that was the case with Kaitlyn and I. She wasn’t a total stranger to me, but she also wasn’t someone I would call a close friend. Sure, we were “friends” on just about every social media app, but we still never interacted with one another.


It was December 31st, 2017, when Kaitlyn and I first spoke. I was celebrating the new year with my closest friends in Bowling Green, OH. Kaitlyn went out to dinner with some friends at an Italian restaurant in Perrysburg, OH. Having Kaitlyn on Snapchat, I saw she posted a picture of her dinner. If you know me, you know I love Italian food. Well, I just had to Snapchat her for two reasons. First off, I wanted to be a good “friend” and tell her “Happy New Year”! Secondly, I just had to know where her mouth-watering pasta was from. For the next couple years, we managed to keep a friendship that we built from that night. On June 1st of 2019, I finally had the courage to ask her to be my girlfriend.


After 4 years of dating, I decided to get on one knee, and ask her to marry me. With the help of our dog, Rocky, she said “Yes”! We have watched each other grow and succeed through life together. I am so blessed to have Kaitlyn in my life, and I can’t wait to keep making memories with each other. Lastly, Go Blue!



If You Ask Kaitlyn: Although I didn’t personally know Jeremy, I knew of him and his friends. Our paths never really crossed in high school. Fast forward to New Years Eve in 2017, I noticed I had a Snapchat notification from Jeremy, which was odd. It was a picture of him and his friend celebrating the New Year. The pasta I had that night wasn’t everything he made it out to be. I’m pretty sure he just needed any little reason to reach out to me.


We occasionally would talk to one another, but nothing serious came out of it. Keep in mind, he would always be the one to reach out first. His effort didn’t go unnoticed, so I decided to give him his chance. Now, here we are!


After years of dating, we finally got engaged on October 8th, 2023. If it wasn’t for the New Year and his love for Italian food (so he says), who knows if he would have reached out. After countless years, we have made many life-lasting memories together. Here’s to the next chapter of our story!
