We started dating in 2019, at the beginning of Kaitlyn’s junior year and Jake’s senior year of high school. We had always known of each other, but had never talked or gotten to know each other until now!

We went to our first high school dance together! Jake didn’t necessarily love the purple shirt, but wore it to make Kaitlyn happy.

After COVID put an early end to Jake’s senior year, we celebrated his graduation that summer.

As the world slowly started to get back to normal, we went to our one and only Prom together during Kaitlyn’s senior year!

Soon after, Kaitlyn graduated as well and we had survived our first year of long distance.

Our first (of many) Disney trip together happened when we went to Florida for Kaitlyn’s last ever dance competition.

We continued to date long distance since Kaitlyn chose to go to ISU and Jake goes to IUPUI. We survived again and it just made our relationship stronger!

After Jake spent the 2022 summer in Florida, we celebrated our three year anniversary!

Our next Disney trip with Jake’s family as we continued school.

We ended another year of long distance and continued to travel back and forth from Terre Haute and Indianapolis to visit and attend each other’s events!

We spent the 2023 summer together in Orlando, FL and were blessed to grow in our faith together alongside each other and many other passionate Christain college students!!

We celebrated our four year anniversary as Kaitlyn started her third year at ISU and Jake started his fourth year at IUPUI.

And now we’re engaged!! The past four years have been filled with so many memories and so much learning about and how to love each other well. We’re so excited to start the journey of becoming one and we can’t wait to see what all God has in store for us in this life!🤍
