Plenty of hiking trails nearby, plus gorgeous views! Most people don't have service once they get far enough up the canyon, so come prepared. Free parking available at the reservoir.

Palisade Falls: 1.2 miles, easy. A nice walk in Hyalite to a waterfall. And there's a bonus trail to a beautiful view for those feeling adventurous.

Triple Tree Trail: 5.4 miles, easy-moderate. A nice hike up a small mountain to an overlook of Bozeman.

Beehive Basin: 6.6 miles, moderate-difficult. A hike in Big Sky that gives gorgeous views. And for those brave enough, the trail continues after the basin into the mountains...

Storm Castle: 5.2 miles, moderate-difficult. Up a mountain on the way to Big Sky, giving stunning views of the mountains and the Gallatin Valley,

Leverich Canyon Trail: 4.9 miles, moderate. A pleasant loop trail excellent for mountain biking, but also hiking too.

The Rock: 1.5 miles, difficult. If you're looking for an adventure (and by adventure, I mean finding the small off-shoot trail and climbing on your hands and knees up the mountain) then this is the hike for you. You start at the cottonwood canyon trailhead, and if you really want to do it, you can ask us how to find the small trail up to the rock ;)

History Rock: 2.5 miles, easy. A nice Hyalite hike up to a unique rock. You'll see some views too.

Blackmore: 12.9 miles, difficult. A long hike up to summit a mountain next to Hyalite. There are some options for paths to make the hike a bit easier or a bit shorter.

The 'M': 1.6 miles, easy. Here, we are going to the big 'M' on the mountainside. At the end, we get to enjoy a nice view of Bozeman.

Lava Lake (Love-a Lake ;)): 6 miles, moderate. A hike through the forest on a mountain to a lovely lake.

Ousel Falls: 1.6 miles, easy. A nice walk in Big Sky to some beautiful falls. Though heavily trafficked, it is a nice walk for those looking for an experience.
