Kaitlyn and William first met at Bevi Bistro, a local bar in Muncie, the day before Valentine's Day in 2019, while both were students at Ball State. Neither had plans for Valentine's Day, so they began talking regularly. A friend from one of Kaitlyn's media classes noticed that her face would light up around 11 a.m. each day, right when William would text to check in and ask how her day was going.

They spent St. Patrick's Day together, and it was then that Kaitlyn gathered the courage to ask William to be her date for her sorority's spring formal. William bought a suit for the occasion and felt incredibly special, and from that moment on, they have been inseparable.

On November 4th, 2023, William proposed to Kaitlyn by a historic home on the northeast side of downtown Indianapolis—one of their favorite spots where they often took walks together.

Nearly six years, two cats, and a studio apartment later, William and Kaitlyn now share their first home. They've enjoyed turning their house into a home and are thrilled to embark on this next chapter as newlyweds!
