Kaitlyn and Jason met while on a train to Switzerland. She was ahead, in the first train, the luxury train. He was in the last train, the caboose, the train to nowhere. They met serendipitously, late that night. The only lights were the stars glistening on the snow as the train whistled it’s way deep into the Swiss Alps. How was it that they both had a sudden, unexplainable urge to find their way through the dark narrow aisle-ways while the rest of the passengers slept - to the middle train, common ground, where love and diplomacy can finally dance together...where there was flavorful, abundant charcuterie and generously flowing wine like the salmon of Capistrano? How was it possible? It was fate that late Swiss night. Though it was late, she wore an elegant emerald green ball gown, draping her hourglass figure so sweetly that it gave beautiful justice to the word grace. And her hair was the casual precision of an Audrey Hepburn up-do. She made it all look so easy while wearing comfy, yet Tiffany-rich feathered evening slippers. To him, she was flawless. He wore jeans and a sweater. Not just any jeans, dark luxury jeans, the kind that seemed to only fit his frame - slightly perfect with a bit of an edge, like James Bond might wear on a weekend in Tuscany. And not just any sweater, camel cashmere with a crewneck and shiplapped cuffs at the wrists. Although he could only afford the last car on the train, it was simply because his classy debonair style always seemed to just ever so slightly, live beyond his Cartier wallet. His shoes were Hermes loafers, slightly darker in color than his camel sweater in order to draw the eye from top to bottom and back again to subtly capture his James Bond-like silhouette. After shyly admiring each others style and grace, they both reached for the same gluten free cracker with the same cheese and awkwardly bumped hands. Their eyes met and their cheeks flushed. Politely, they introduced themselves and the rest is history! They drank it all in, along with a perfect Parisian red wine, and took the train to a little town called love-at-first-sight.
Maybe that’s just how they see it, but it makes for a great story! The truth is, they lived in the same neighborhood and found each other! Jason was persistent and Kaitlyn was interested. After she coyly gave him a few rainchecks, they eventually met for a first date at Sierra, a mountain lodge styled restaurant in Lone Tree Colorado and the rest, is history. We can’t wait to have your presence with us as we make our happy bond official this August!
