Kaity and Andrew first met online through a dating app. He initially was attracted to her love of animals, and that she (seemingly) had her life together. (Little did he know). She was first attracted to his adorable boxer, Cloud, that he had a photo with.

Andy asked Kaity out on their first date on Sept. 9, 2022 to the Hofbrauhaus in the South Side. They quickly fell into easy conversation, and spent a few hours just getting to know each other and enjoying the atmosphere.

Their second date was at the renaissance festival the following weekend. Andy quickly learned what he got himself into when Kaity had him buy her a turkey leg and watch the jousting events. (Her two favorite things are a good meal and hanging out with horses).

From that weekend on, they spent most of their free time together, meeting each other's family and friends. It was a seamless year before Andy decided to put a ring on it on Aug. 31, 2023.

In true Andy and Kaity fashion, he had a whole evening set up with a camera and flowers at home for the proposal. Kaity thought he was making a joke, and brushed him off walking right past him and into the house, ruining his initial plan. She quickly realized he was serious, and he proposed at sunset on their patio with the two dogs nearby to witness.
