Kaitlyn's Version:
Noah and I first met each other at the local tanning salon that I worked at in our college town. I always felt so nervous when Noah would come in to tan, so I would always make it a point to walk away from the front desk when I saw him walking into the salon which happened quite often! Thanks to the help of Tinder, Noah finally "swiped right" and shot his shot. I was so giddy and excited but was not sure how I felt about relationships. Noah tried to ask me to hangout with him multiple times but I would always get sooo nervous and back out. I finally hung out with him and was super shy and standoffish but could not get over how handsome and mature he was. It took a while, I will admit, but Noah was very persistent and finally was able to break down all of my walls that I had put up and I am so thankful he did. I have never felt as loved and beautiful as he made me feel and I am so thankful that he did not give up on me or we wouldn't be here planning the most perfect wedding!
Noah's Version:
Kaitlyn and I met while both attending USD in Vermillion, SD. Kait worked at the local tanning salon where as much as I hate to admit it, I was a frequent visitor. But after I first noticed her, I don’t know if it was for the tanning bed as much as it was for the cute blonde behind the counter. I would love to say that one day I couldn’t take it anymore so I worked up the courage to approach her and asked her out on a date. But, unfortunately that’s not how it happened. I matched with Kaitlyn on a dating app (Tinder) and hit her with one of the CRINGIEST pickup lines ever. But, it must have worked. She messaged me back and we chatted back and forth for a couple days before wanting to hang out. So, I invited Kaitlyn over to my apartment to hang out for the first time. I was elated, so excited, cleaned my apartment top to bottom and I hate cleaning, lit a couple of candles to get the room smelling nice, had everything looking nice. But, Kaitlyn never showed up. Bummer. Thats strike one. We chatted for another day or two before I invited her over again and this time made her chili and cinnamon rolls, which she had told me she loved. Made her dinner, had the apartment looking nice again, but still no Kaitlyn. Bummer. Strike two. Now I was getting pretty annoyed. So, I asked Kaitlyn if she is familiar with baseball. Told her one more strike and I’m done, not trying anymore, you snooze you lose. So, I invite her over once more and she is still being standoffish but persuades me to come to her apartment instead. So, I did. I went to her apartment, where we didn’t talk a whole lot at first. We sat at the edge of her bed and watched the most romantic movie of all time, you guessed it, Magic Mike. We ended up having some good chats, good laughs, she was happy she avoided strike three, and ever since that night we never stopped talking. Kaitlyn wore a hard shell for quite some time, didn’t want to let me in, didn’t want to catch any feelings, said some mean things sometimes (if you want to know these mean things, come see us and I will gladly inform you), but it was all for good reason. No one had ever loved Kaitlyn the right way or gave her what she deserved. But, lucky for her I was persistent. Eventually, she let me in and I quickly fell in love with the kindest, sweetest, most beautiful girl in the world and haven’t looked back since. I thank God every day that he gave me Kaitlyn. She has helped me grow in so many ways as a man and as a partner. I am so grateful for her incredible family and all the love that comes with her and I can’t wait to continue our story. Unless she stands me up at the alter, then thats strike three.
