Things to Do

Kaitlyn and Anthony's story goes further back then some may know. They first met in 1992, when Kaitlyn and Anthony played on the same little league soccer team. What makes this story even better, Kaitlyn's Dad was their coach! Kaitlyn and Anthony went to separate schools until high school. It wasn't until Kaitlyn decided to re-join the track team Junior year when she and Anthony re-connected. Anthony was a successful sprinter on the Highline track team, and Kaitlyn re-joined track Junior year to be a member of the 4x100m relay. Both Kaitlyn and Anthony qualified to attend the state championship races held in Eastern Washington that year. They started dating June 2006, the summer before their senior year. Kaitlyn attended the University of Montana on a soccer scholarship, while Anthony attended Oregon State University on a football scholarship. Thank God for technology – FaceTime and Skype became their best friend. Since football and soccer season were at the same time, their schedules would hardly ever allow them time to talk with each other. They would both be so tired from long travel days, games, and practices. Kaitlyn remembers times when they would be so exhausted trying to talk on the phone. Several times, Anthony even fell asleep in the middle of their conversations!By 2012, both of them had graduated from college and moved back to Seattle. And on May 20, 2014 their wonderful baby boy Kameron entered this world. During their last trip to Disney Aulani, Anthony had something special planned. It was Sept. 8 2016, Kaitlyn's birthday, and Anthony had planned for their friend, Mary Claire, to babysit for the night. He made reservations at a fancy restaurant right on the beach where they spent way too much money on steaks and mai tais. After dinner, Anthony walked Kaitlyn to the beach, where Mary Claire and Kameron were waiting. Anthony asked Kameron to pass her a box, and the rest is history. :)Kaitlyn &amp; Anthony are excited to continue their life journey together, and share their wedding day with their family and friends! #OfficiallyWatkins17
