Flying

The Double J Farm is located equidistant to Asheville and Charlotte. Plenty of flights are available to and from both. Asheville airport (AVL) is smaller, nicer and more convenient, but the flights are typically more expensive and you'll often need a connection to get to it. Charlotte airport (CLT) is larger and less convenient, but flights are usually direct and cheaper.

Just a heads up: don't count on Uber or Lyft when in the area, you'll likely find service to either be very slow or completely unavailable. We recommend renting a vehicle for this reason.

Driving

There are two main driving routes from SE Michigan to NC.

Southeast on 23 through Columbus and West Virginia is the quickest option with some beautiful mountain driving. South on 75 through Ohio and Kentucky to I40 East is a bit longer but is simpler and has more amenities along the way.

From the greater Toronto area, head east through Buffalo, west along I90 to I79 South, and beyond.

Lodging

The Double J Farm is located in between Lenoir, Hickory, and Morganton, NC. All three cities have many hotels, Airbnbs, and VRBO's. We do not have a hotel block reserved. Each city has a cute downtown and many bars and restaurants. Hickory is the largest of the three, but also the furthest from the venue at approx 30 minutes. Morganton is the closest town at 20 minutes. Lenoir is about 25 minutes away, and has the fewest dining options, but it's the closest to the mountains if you want to venture up into the Blue Ridge Mountains. Of course, you can always stay in Asheville or Charlotte, which both have countless attractions, but plan for a little over an hour drive to the venue.
