Tanner lived in Huntington, WV and was visiting Lexington for the weekend. He was here helping his friend coach a travel baseball team. Kaitlyn was attending a friend's wedding that weekend and visiting with old friends she hadn't seen in a while. We crossed paths and from the moment we saw each other, there was an instant connection.

We both went home to our parents a day after meeting each other and told our families we had found our future husband/wife. We never missed a weekend of seeing each other for the following 2 years. We are so blessed.

Kaitlyn traveled to Huntington, WV for the weekend to see Tanner and his family. Tanner planned a date night at Rocco's in Ceredo Kenova for the two of us. We both ordered a glass of wine to start the night. Tanner insisted on making a toast and proceeded to ask Kaitlyn to be his girlfriend. Let the long-distance relationship begin!

Kaitlyn's family had a cruise planned for the end of August and she asked Tanner to come along (she asked him after 2 weeks of knowing him; risky!!). Tanner's parents also decided to come on the cruise as well. This was the first time that our parents were meeting... in the middle of the ocean (even riskier!!). Spoiler: our families blended perfectly!!

We quickly had to learn how to balance our time with family for the holidays. We are blessed to have families who support us and the long-distance relationship we were in.

Kaitlyn's parents took her and Tanner to LAS VEGAS for her 25th birthday. We shared many vacations over the last 2 years, but this is by far our favorite trip we have been on!

More vacations together!! We quickly learned with doing long-distance to make the most of every second we were able to spend together.

Tanner accepted a job in Lexington and moved in with Kaitlyn! We lived in a one bedroom, one bathroom apartment with our sweet Nova girl. It was crowded but we wouldn't have had it any other way.

We moved into our new apartment! Yay!

Tanner planned the dreamiest proposal. It was intimate and perfect. It was the best day of our lives!
