Colby and I met at Toyota on the service drive in December of 2021. What seemed like a regular Tuesday morning became the sweet start of our journey. Me, being the least bold individual you could ever meet, thought Colby was cute, found him on social media, and followed him that afternoon. Colby followed me back, messaged me for my phone number, and we went on our first date the very next day. I was probably more nervous than Colby, ordered the least expensive thing on the menu, and only took 4 bites of my meal. We learned about our similarities - our love for country music, our upbringings, our connection to New Mexico and having (basically) the same birthday. And we learned about our differences - his love for spicy food vs. my dislike for spicy food or my love for cats vs. his (low) tolerance of them. It was as if time stood still and we left our first date knowing a second date was absolute. On February 5, 2022, we officially started dating and continued to grow in our knowledge of one another. Then on May 10, 2023 Colby asked me to spend forever together and it was the easiest decision I've had to make.

So many memories have been made the last year and a half, including highs, lows, laughter and tears, each sanctifying and growing us into the best versions we can be. As we reflect on our story and the events that brought us to where we are today, we see nothing but the Lord's goodness and sweet timing. We hope our relationship continues to be a reflection of who God is and what He has done for us. May 3, 2024 will be a sweet day and we can't wait to celebrate with our people!
